The final pitching of the Innovation Award & Seed Fund 2022/23 powered by Dorsett Hospitality International was successfully concluded on 20 June 2023. Funded by Dorsett Hospitality International (DHI), and co-organized by the Institutional Advancement Office (IAO) and Innovation & Technology Co-creation Centre powered by Dorsett Hospitality International (ITCC), the competition is to recognize exceptional and innovative ideas presented by students in their year-end projects with high potential for further development.
The competition received 26 entries from six academic disciplines, including Business(BA), Design(DE), Engineering (ENG), Health & Life Science(HLS), Hospitality(HT), and Information Technology(IT). Following a thorough selection process, 10 teams advanced to the finals, and each finalist team received HK$10,000 for research and prototyping.
To help the teams prepare for the finals, ITCC held a series of training sessions from February to June 2023. These sessions featured seminars, workshops, sharing sessions, and project consultations designed to equip the finalists with the necessary skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the competition. In collaboration with the Languages Discipline 3Cs Initiative Team, finalist teams also received guidance and support on content curation and pitching skills.

Gold Award Winners
Two Gold Award-winning teams will each receive a cash prize of HK$30,000, and an additional HK$60,000 in seed funding for prototype development.

This is a testament to the talent and creativity of the participating students. Over the next six months, ITCC will offer mentorship and coaching support to help the teams improve, develop and commercialize their projects to a marketable level.
