In hospitals, transporting patients is a daily task, and this work requires the hospital to invest a lot of manpower and time. Students were inspired to use the knowledge and skills learned in the course to create a model of a smart hospital bed. This model demonstrates how to transport patients comfortably and safely to their destination without human assistance. Through this model, the outside world can understand how smart systems can save hospitals a lot of manpower and time costs, and help solve the problem of staff shortages in Hong Kong hospitals. This project research won the third place in the "YC Project Speech Contest 2024" (Chinese Category) and the VTC Smart City & STEAM Challenge Cup 2024 Smart Technology Application Award.
