The advance of IoT has brought a lot of conveniences to our living, such as shopping, payment, entertainment, information from all sources, etc. They can be easily accessed through different IOS and Android-based Apps today. However, most of those applications are not designed for elderly users.
This competition aims to motivate young talents to develop innovative Apps to enhance the smart life-styles or home automation for elderly users in the smart city.
The key focuses of the Apps are:
i) to promote the quality and convenience of life in smart home for the elderly users with
consideration of the various issues that they might face in daily living; and
ii) to strengthen interpersonal communications among the public and different elderly age groups.

The team leader who submitted the application form will receive an email confirming the submission details and account information. The team can use the account to submit a Powerpoint file, videos and photos to our competition website.
Requirements of Entries2
Participants are required to submit a proposal of the application design in the form of PowerPoint (PPT) to facilitate its understanding such as design concept, applications of technology, list of functions, user interfaces and user flow and etc.
App prototype in MPEG4 video format, no more than 3 minutes (maximum 300MB), to further illustrate the design and concept behind.
Shortlisted groups will be invited to present with3 a prototype of the Apps on a mobile that provides an interactive mode to demonstrate the flow and functions of the application.
