DATE:
27 April 2026

The Prize Presentation and Closing Ceremony of the China Resources Logistics Shatin Cold Storage Exterior Wall Mural Design Competition was successfully held on 27 April 2026 at the VTC Innovation and Technology Co‑creation Centre (ITCC). As a cross‑disciplinary platform for industry-academia collaboration, ITCC brought together students, industry partners and community stakeholders to celebrate co‑creation and experiential learning.

The ceremony was officiated by distinguished guests, including Mr CHUE Cheuk Lun, President of China Resource Enterprise; Mr CHAN Hak Kan, Legislative Council Member and Chairman of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB); representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (LOCPG), Sha Tin District Office, VTC and MTR Corporation, together with senior representatives from China Resources Logistics. Guests presented awards to student winners and shared insights on youth development, social engagement and the value of learning through practice.

Launched in October 2025, the competition invited students from the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) to create exterior wall mural designs themed around the supply of goods to Hong Kong, transforming an important logistics heritage site into a visual narrative. Selected winning proposals will serve as key references for the exterior wall design of the Shatin supply logistics hub.

On the same day, VTC students visited China Resources Logistics' Shatin Cold Storage to deepen their understanding of modern logistics operations. Through this project, ITCC continues to drive co‑creation and industry collaboration and support students' holistic development and professional growth.
