The physically disadvantaged and visually impaired often encounter difficulties while waiting for a bus at the stop. Therefore, we suggest embedding an electronic system into a bus stop to assist passengers. Passengers can simply choose a route number at the stop and the respective bus driver will receive a signal. At the same time, the display panel with an audio system will inform passengers when the bus is approaching. Other than that, people in wheelchairs can also alert the bus driver to prepare for boarding. Thanks to these considerate designs, the now barrier-free bus service would allow the elderly, physically disadvantaged and visually impaired to use with ease.
