Smart technology can assist pet owners in raising their pets more easily. It can also help reduce the risk of illness and depression in pets, thereby lowering the economic burden on pet owners.
Recent research has identified two major problems faced by most pet owners:
Long working hours, leading to a lack of time to monitor their pets.
Increasing medical expenses, which create a significant economic burden if pets fall ill.
After conducting extensive research and studies, we believe that smart technology can assist pet owners in raising their pets more easily. It can also reduce the risk of illness and depression in pets, thereby lowering the economic burden on pet owners.
Therefore, we plan to design an integrated smart pet care app with the following features:
Monitoring the living environment.
Monitoring the pet’s physical health (e.g., heartbeat, blood pressure, weight).
Monitoring the pet’s diet by tracking food and water consumption.
Monitoring the pet’s behavior with an indoor camera.
Monitoring the pet’s mental health using AI to analyze collected data.
Allowing owners to share photos, videos, and health data of their pets (with like, share, subscribe, and comment features).
Facilitating online social activities for pet owners (e.g., pet beauty contests, leaderboards).
