The AI Pharmacist is an interactive kiosk connected to a healthcare-related database. It can interact with users by responding to their healthcare-related questions and providing healthcare advice anytime, anywhere, without the need for face-to-face interaction.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past few years, it has become evident that the general public struggles to receive immediate face-to-face or online consultations and health advice from healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses. To address this issue, our team considered whether we could provide an artificial intelligence (AI) platform connected to a healthcare-related database. This platform could interact with those in need by responding to their healthcare-related questions and providing advice anytime, anywhere, without the need for face-to-face interaction.
To this end, we contacted a software vendor capable of providing a computer platform with an AI element and the necessary hardware (e.g., a monitor, microphone, and speaker) to form an interactive kiosk. By setting up a database containing specific healthcare-related questions and answers, the interactive kiosk (i.e., the AI pharmacist) can respond to voice-initiated health questions, offering instant health advice to the general public.
