Powered by Hang Seng Bank, and co-organised by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) & Wofoo Social Enterprises, the Future Ecopreneur Programme (the "Programme") is designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship within the Green Technology and Sustainable Development in Hong Kong.
The Eco-pilot Projects 2025-2026 are now open for submissions for community innovation proposals centered around the theme of "Community Resilience for Climate Change", with a specific focus on actively addressing environmental challenges posed by extreme weather. The programme encourages young innovators to empower community transformation by designing solutions rooted in local needs and insights, aimed at supporting vulnerable groups (such as the homeless, elderly singletons and doubletons, rural squatters residents, urban subdivided flat residents, cleaning workers, and residents of low-lying coastal communities) better withstand the impacts of extreme weather.
Participating organizations include Caritas Labour-Friendly Communities Project, AKA Social Service, Social for Community Organization, Hong Kong Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service. Through a series of training and activities, we intends to nurture and empower a community of young changemakers who innovate and drive collective impacts on sustainability, and combating climate change.
Successful teams will receive:
- HK$10,000 seed funding
- Professional training and mentorship from industry experts
- Opportunities for corporate and community visits
- The chance to implement solutions in the community, converting green ideas into effective community actions
